Teenagent (1995)

by Metropolis Software

Teenagent is a fine point'n'click adventure game published originally in the mid-1990s as a commercial product, and a few years later released as a freeware.

The player will take the role of a randomly-selected, ordinary teenager picked out to solve the mysterious disappearances of gold bars occurring on all the edges of the world. Colourful (if a bit outdated) graphics, fine sound environment and especially the sarcastic humour and an interesting storyline make the game a must-have for the hardcore point'n'click adventure fanatics, and a nice game to spend a few hours on for everyone else not completely detesting the genre.

  • eMTe :
How the hell should somebody guess that an action that was useless three times, will be successful when performed for the fourth time?

Isnt it the method you use in real life? 8)

Anyway, it's certainly more logical than walking around the city without a wallet.

  • Pater Alf :
Is it just me or is it impossible to succeed in this game without using a walkthrough? Not only that some of the puzzles are extremely illogical (I'm used to that), but there are also several which are unfair to the player. How the hell should somebody guess that an action that was useless three times, will be successful when performed for the fourth time?

Aaaaaahhhhh I LOVED this game! The humor is REALLY great, I laughed myself off the chair :D
  • eMTe :
Well, this is "oldie" and it was released in 1995 as commercial product in Poland, then iirc as shareware in whole Europe and finally it was made freeware in 1999 or 2001 according to various sources. Game looks a bit outdated and isnt as good as Lucasarts classics, but colourful graphics and sarcastic humour tell much about author and which games were his favourites.
