When you look at the screenshots first, you might think "Logi-Gun" is just another normal platform game. But it isn't. In fact it is an excellant action puzzler/logic game in which you has to use six different guns (spider-gun, polarity gun, crappling gun etc.)to get to the exit of the level. Each of the guns has different abilities (for example the Spider-Gun can shoot webs) and each of these are introduced to you in a small tutorial level.
In later levels you will only reach the exit when you combine the abilities of the gun and use them in a clever way. Sometimes it's quite hard to find the solution, because you think in a totally wrong direction at first, but the solution is always logical and when you finally figure out how to clear a level you will say: "Damned, that's so simple! Why wasn't that my first thought?"
Sometimes you don't just have to find the right solution, but you have to run through the level and shoot your guns with highest accuracy (or else some doors will close again and you won't be able to finish). Some might find these parts of the game frustrating, others might think they are challenging. You should figure this out yourself. I only can tell you that I quit the game quite often, but I always returned after some minutes, just to prove that I can beat another level.
"Logi-Gun" has very cute graphics and animations, but is lacking music and a fullscreen mode. But looking at the overall quality these are just minor flaws and I don't think you'll miss these things too much once you started playing...

Space shooter with a feeling of Freespace to it. Simply a lovely very smooth flying game, with dogfighting, tight maneuvering and general don't die gameplay. The game does take some time to master like any space shooter but it is time well spent and invested as there are lots of hours of gameplay hidden within this download. The game is GNU freeware, as is the source so if you want to tinker with the game you can. Who wouldn't want to open up... (read more)
