Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari) (2005)

This is an excellent adventure / platformer, where you control a little robot who is trying to save mimigas (creatures which are similar to rabbits) from the bad doctor.
There's an interesting story and you even have the chance to upgrade your health and your weapons (you can choose between different ones after you found them). You also have the Chance to save at various points during the game, so you don't have to start at the beginning of a level over and over again.

Ive played it a couple of years ago. Japanese title is "Doukutsu Monogatari" btw... It's not only one of the best freeware platformers, it's one of the best platformers ever made. Hint for gamehunters: a must-have for our site. - Chroelle :
Well this game comes highly recommended.
It is a mixed genre game, and I haven't tried it yet. I just fell on the recommandations as the BEST freeware game out there, and thought "hm....We gotta have that".

Gravity Bombs

Is this a game at all asked the developer when adding Gravity Bombs for validation here at CWF. And in the following time this question was tried answered, but we never really reached a conclusion. Gravity bombs is about shooting spheres with your guns. You have a gun in each corner of the screen, each in its own color. These colors also cover the spheres randomly generated in the playing arena in the middle and you now have to shoot the green... (read more)
