Pushover (remake) (2006)

by IshiSoft

Developer's description:

A remake of the popular puzzle game of the early nineties, in which you have to rearrange the dominoes in each level so you can knock them down with one push. It features all 100 levels from the original game across 9 zones, and also a level editor so that you can make your own levels. The game also saves each player's progress. Highly addictive and great fun!

There's nothing more much to say except that this one was one of the most popular games of our game hunters and kept them busy for several weeks. One even threatened to leave the site if we don't accept this game.

Pushover is simply a brilliant game with several different dominoe types (for example splitting, exploding, vanishing)and you will return to this game again and again just to finish one more level. A must-have!

Discussion on our forums on Pushover (remake)

  • sscrabble :
Thank you - thats sorted it !
  • eMTe :
You choose options in Pushover with "space", not with "enter". Also, Pushover is purely keyboard-driven, mouse doesnt work.
  • sscrabble :
I just too the 'extract files' option and then clicked the application on the new page - and the pushover start page opened - the graphics are working but my mouse does not even show on the page - and although the down arrow will work so it goes from load game to new game etc , the enter key amnd all other keys are inactive !
  • sscrabble :
yes - it says curlysworldoffreeware.com - just noticed it also shows sdl.dll as an application extension in the folder where the 'application' I am clicking on is
  • eMTe :
That's strange. Game folder contains SDL.dll. Just to be sure - you downloaded Pushover remake from our site?
  • sscrabble :
downloaded directx 11 - downloaded pushover - clicked on application - it is now saying application failed to start because SDL.dll was not found
  • eMTe :
d3dx9_31.dll is a DirectX 9 file, so you should update your DirectX version to at least 9.0 and game should work then.
  • sscrabble :
I have no idea what a ownload manager is ! I press download and it puts a folder into 'downloads' - when I click on it it has an 'application' but if I click it it says application failed to start because d3dx9_31.dll was not found - there is an application with that extension reference but that will not open either !
  • eMTe :
I just downloaded it and everything's ok. Do you use some download manager maybe?
  • sscrabble :
Afraid I am not very technically able !! I want to download and play pushover , but it just wants to download to word.exeor windows explorer rather than opening the game. What do I need to do ?
