The year is 2012. You are Jake McUrk, a detective in his early 30's working for the Police Detective Agency in the city of Pleurghburg. Ever since the old corrupt police system was removed from the city, the crime rate dropped by nearly 50%. The people of Pleurghburg were finally able to sleep safe at night. One day, you are put on a case that seemed to be just another minor false alarm. But things don't turn out like you had thought. All of sudden, Jake is thrown into a nightmare where danger lurks around every corner. Help Jake investigate the case and find out what exactly what is going on in the city of Pleurghburg. Many things of the game will remind you of "Police Quest", for example you have to unlock your car every time you use it, take photos of the crime scenes, give reports to your boss etc. But atmosphere of the game is very dark and thrilling and with the great conspiracy in the background you will sometimes have the feeling you are in an episode of "X-Files".

There are several situations in "Pleurghburg" where different solutions for a puzzle (which are always fair) are possible or even the game branches, which is a great thing for an adventure making it more replayable. But there are also many situations in which it is possible to die when you do the wrong thing, so you better should save very often.

Only flaw of the game are the amateurish graphics, but I hope that won't keep you from playing...
