La Croix Pan (2007)

by TheJBurger

A lone American parachuter has dropped down near a French town by the name of La Croix Pan. The mission was to defend the town and as the trooper is very much alone he sees no other way than to defend it himself. You quickly find a spot to do this from but alas - trouble awaits. Help your trooper get to the top of the tower and take out the German soldiers marching on the town.

This game is unfortunately very short. It will take most of the gamers out there less than 10 minutes to complete, BUT it is still worth the download (otherwise we wouldn't have it here on CWF!)
The game is regular point and click until the Germans arrive, then a small action sequence starts, as you have to shoot the Germans before they can take you down.

If for some reason you are having a lot of trouble getting through this game, then we have a CWF-produced walkthrough for the game.

We must say that TheJBurger made a good game, with some excellent graphics, and had it been longer than it was, it would have been a classic waiting to happen. We can all hope that some day TheJBurger will decide to continue this game. :)

Discussion on our forums on La Croix Pan

  • Chroelle :
Thsi game is excellent. So excellent in fact that I decided to write my very first walkthrough for a game. Well this one would be a good place to start, being only 5 minutes long.
I think there was a glimpse of
sadness to the last scene, as I read the situation as if the main character was looking at the bodies in the street and asking "are we just gonna leave the city like this"? I read that as a "Then why did I kill all these soldiers?".
I think this game could be made into a great crossgenre game with more gameplay and longer too.

I´m not sure if I really like this game, but I will present it anyway...

You play the role of an american sniper during world war II and have to defeat a small french village against the german troops.

The game is very short (and the puzzles are easy) and most gamers will solve it within 30 minutes. Technically everything is fine, there are well made graphics and sounds and a nice atmosphere.

The reason why I´m not sure about this game is the story. I think when you settle an adventure game during world war II you should have something to tell about this time or about war at all. In this game I can´t find any message except that it´s heroic to kill enemies during war. It might sound silly, but I´m missing kind of a moral...
