"Nick Bounty: A Case of the Crabs" Walkthrough
"Nick Bounty: A Case of the Crabs" is a classic point'n click adventure made by Mark Darin in 2004. Copyright for the game and all its characters Mark Darin.
You are a private investigator, sitting in your office on a lazy afternoon and thinking about how you should pay your next rent when suddenly a man enters the room. He introduces himfelf as Arthur Griffin, but before he can tell you what he came for he falls over and dies on your floor with a knife in his back...
1. The office:
Get knife and get crab. Then look at box. It's from the "Shiny Barnacle Shipping Company" (there's a new location on your map now). Get fingerprint book (from the shelf). Get library card (from the desk). Leave the office.
2. Shiny Barnacle Shipping Company
Get crate of sea sponges (Nick will only take a single one). Talk to Bill. He won't listen to you. Use crab with bucket. Now you have Bill's attention. Talk with Bill about Arthur Griffen (he will tell you an interestin detail). Use knife with crates. Look at crabs in crate. They are not real, they are counterfeit crabs! You'll have to check some restaurants to see if they know something about that (there are two new locations on the map). Get toy crab. Use (real) crab with crate of squid. Use sea sponge with squid ink. Leave the docks.
3. Blue Crab Cafe:
Look at door (you will get a closer view). Look at membership ID scanner. You need an ID card to enter the Blue Crab Cafe (big surprise). Use knife with Lonely Guy flyer (it's a poster on the wall). You will get a small photo. Use photo with library card. Look at the door again. Use card with photo with ID scanner. It is still not working, because a fingerprint of a member is missing. Leave the location.
4. Back to the office:
Look at fingerprinting book (it is very long and very boring). Use knife with fingerprinting book. You will cut it down to a 5-step-leaflet. Look at leaflet. Look at Arthur's hand (Check!). Look at leaflet (you already have an inkpad). Look at leaflet. Use inkpad with Arthur's hand. Look at leaflet. Use card with photo with Arthur´s inky hand. You now have a fake ID. Look at leaflet and feel the satisfaction. Leave the office.
5. The Blue Crab Cafe again:
Walk to door. Use fake ID card with ID scanner. You can enter the cafe now. Talk with the waitress about everything. Walk to kitchen. Get cheese. Talk to cook about everything (he knows a lot of things). Get victrola (the cook won't let you). Use door.
6. The Boss:
A short cutscene appears and you are taken to the Boss. He will tell you to stay out of his business and throws you out of his office. Get trash full of can halves. Leave the place.
7. The Blue Crab Cafe for the third time:
Walk to gate (it's open yet). Use crab with fusebox. Get wires. Move crate. Get business card. Look at business card. Use door. The cook is still depressed but can't listen to the blues anymore. Get victrola. Leave the Blue Crab Cafe.
8. Jim's Shack 'O Crabs:
Use cheese with toy crab to create a trap. Use trap with rat. Talk with Jim about everything (he has a small rat problem). Use business card with Jim. Leave Jim´s Shack 'O Crabs.
9. Back to the Boss:
Use wires with can halves. Use listening device with window. Use listening device with victrola. Use highly advanced spy equipment with window. Use door. Shoot the Boss (Haha). Use crab with the Boss...
You've made it. Enjoy the end sequence!!!
