Nemesis (by Ovine)
This 1985 Konami classic is one that set a standard. Nemesis, also known as Gradius, is a trendsetting sideway shooting game. Here is another remake of it. This one was made by Ovine by Design (developer of "The Nameless", "Total Eclipse" and "Quantasm") for the Retro Remakes competition 2006 and as far as I can see it has the original level design and the original music (which is very cool).
