One, sacrifice anode cathodic protection
Sacrificial anode cathodic protection has been phased out in recent years because of its short protection life and low cost performance.
Two, impressed current cathodic protection mainly has the following types:
1, network anode cathodic protection
For new large tanks, the current is the best choice. - Links to mesh anodes related pages
2. Shallow buried anode around the tank
It is suitable for small storage tanks. For large storage tanks, the center part of tank bottom may not be well protected, especially when the anticorrosion layer on the bottom surface of tank bottom deteriorates.
3, tank around the deep well anode
Since the path of the anode current to the cathode (the bottom surface of the steel tank) is almost equal, the potential distribution is relatively uniform, but there are also the following disadvantages:
(1) the anode is buried deep, the polarization current is larger, the current consumption is more;
(2) Due to the large voltage and current required, the ground bed around the anode will often dry, resulting in insulation;
(3) Some unprotected areas are prone to corrosion interference;
(4) The construction cost is high and the commissioning is complicated.
